Yma Orne Campbell, MFT

Yma Orné Campbell is a Marriage & Family Therapist, Author, and Motivational Speaker. Her latest inspirational book, “The Priceless Gift Surviving Cancer,” is a book in which she depicts the details about a sudden brief battle with thyroid cancer. The book is packed with details as she shares her journey about being diagnosed with thyroid cancer and being treated. Yma credits this book as one of her most humble pieces of work ever.

Yma Orné Campbell is a native of Brooklyn, New York. Over the years her writing has developed into its own masterpiece, one that she is very proud of today. Yma received the Editor’s Choice Award from the International Library of Poetry in 2007. Yma submitted a poem that received recognition and was published in Howard Ely’s Anthology titled, “Forever Spoken.”  Her love for poetry is evident in her very own collection of poems in her published book, “Literature for the Heart.”  She wrote and published, “Tragedy and Loss: a Family Struggles to Move On.” She wrote this book as it was therapy for her while she was grieving the loss of her younger brother who she loss in a tragic car accident in 2006. Yma wrote a story about family, sudden change, and acceptance in the dramatic story of “The Grandparents Club.” It is a story that has received many great reviews by her fans that she has been asked many times about writing a sequel to continue the story by taking the drama to another level.

Yma also self-published a children’s book, “Manners, and Morals in Minutes for Children.” This adorable children’s book is a short story about friendship and diversity. It is one that she enjoyed creating and has promised to add more children’s books to her collection. Yma is the Development Manager of the George K. Campbell Scholarship Foundation where she also displays her passion through fundraising for Education.
